Overview
Tripletex is a flexible, cloud-based financial system built for small and medium-sized businesses. It covers invoicing, accounting and bookkeeping, payroll, project management, inventory, logistics and more, giving you real-time control of your finances from anywhere.
API Genie sits in the middle as your integration hub. It standardizes data from Tripletex and your other systems into a shared schema so you can automate flows, eliminate manual bookkeeping, and keep operations and finance in lockstep.
How it Works
Customer & product sync
- Create and update Customers in Tripletex when they’re created or updated in Shopify or other channels.
- Sync Products (SKUs, descriptions, VAT codes, prices) between Tripletex and your product master (e.g. Shopify, PIM, or ERP) via API Genie.
Order & invoice preparation
- Orders from Shopify/other channels are normalized in API Genie, then pushed to Tripletex as orders ready for invoicing and accounting.
- API Genie passes along the customer, product and pricing data in a consistent format, reducing mapping errors.
Inventory synchronization
- Stocktaking and product inventory updates in Tripletex are exposed via the API.
- API Genie maps these to its Inventory model and distributes updated stock levels to Shopify, marketplaces, and WMS, helping you avoid overselling.
Fulfillment, shipments & labels
- When warehouse systems or 3PLs confirm shipments, API Genie updates Fulfillment and Shipments models and pushes back to Tripletex as order status updates (and, where configured, invoice triggers).
- Labels and tracking details are handled via the Labels and Shipments models so Tripletex and sales channels all reference the same carrier data.
Automation & reporting
- With Tripletex as the financial system of record and API Genie as the integration hub, you can automate accounting-relevant events (e.g. invoicing after shipment) and feed consistent data into reporting or BI tools.
