Pio (created by AutoStore) is a plug-and-play warehouse automation system for ecommerce brands, 3PLs, and B2B operations. It uses compact cube storage and robots to pick, pack, and ship orders with high speed and accuracy.
API Genie sits in the middle as your integration hub. It standardizes data from Pio and the rest of your systems into a shared schema, so you can orchestrate flows, automate workflows, and monitor fulfillment from one place.

How it Works
Short summary of the core flows:
- Inventory sync
Pio’s inventory (bin contents, stock counts) ↔ API Genie Inventory model ↔ Shopify product inventory & ERP stock.
- Order & fulfillment orchestration
Shopify/ERP orders → API Genie Orders/Fulfillments → Pio for picking and packing → back to Shopify/ERP as fulfillment updates.
- Shipments & labels
Pio app syncs with shipping platforms like ShipStation and WebShipper; API Genie exposes those labels and tracking numbers via the canonical Shipments/Labels models so every system sees the same status.
- Purchase orders
Purchase orders generated in your ERP or planning system flow into Pio to pre-allocate inbound stock and reserve storage.
